This means that each digit has to be unique among those 3 areas, there can be no “conflict” between it and an identical digit in its “zones”. Of course, thing that we can note right off the bat is that the biggest number on the grid will be equal to N: Since all a's and b's are greater or equal to 1, our bottom left cell will always increase by one, no matter what a and b are. The goal of the game is to fill in a grid with digits so that every column, row, and 3x3 sub-grid contains all 9 digits. ![]()
